Only 500 BRZ tS's will be manufactured for the US

Took a trip to my dealer to get a free car wash. They said only 500 tS units will be available in the US. The cost will be somewhere in the $32,000-34,000 range.

Thoughts?

That's how I interpreted Subaru's press release on the matter. 500 total units (which is ridiculous IMO). It's not THAT special - they should make as many as required to meet demand.

They couldn't even sell out their 300 units cap in Japan during its first run.

So much for keeping it away from turbo so they can keep the price low.

its been raining almost everyday here in florida. figured i'd get a quick wash for free while I was in the area rather than spend a hour or so washing it and have it rain later today/tonight/tomorrow.

lol at the price. I dont think sales of the twins are exactly lighting up the sales chart. Not sure who Subaru are targeting with a car like the Ts.

That's still less than the MX-5 RF Club Edition w/ Brembo/BBS wheel package.

My local dealer had a Series Yellow sitting out front for over a month. It's a beautiful car. All I can figure is that they wouldn't deal on it.

Well when some of them are being sold at ridiculous mark-ups what do you expect?

I think most people who want this car in the US would know 40k+ is ridiculously over-priced for a Series.Yellow.
