Glad you got it sorted. I park my '23 BRZ for the winter and use a battery tender then but I have had it parked without being on the battery tender for a couple of weeks and still can just start-up and drive it away.

I had read that keeping a proximity key too close to a car can cause a battery (both the key fob and the car) to drain prematurely. Obviously not the issue here but something to keep in mind.

I turned off my proximity key feature, party to save battery (also to use the trunk button pin feature). I think I'll make the same assumption about the BRZ that I've used for other modern cars: It can sit for exactly 3 weeks. Any more and you're really risking a difficult start, better to uplug the battery before storing.
