I've only done 250km so far and have been making sure I don;t go over the 4,000rpm as I don't get to give this one back after three months!

Initial impressions are that it seems to be like a slot-car around the corners. Less body roll than stock - but not sure if that is the coilovers, rigidity kit, swaybars or fatter lower profile tyres. That's the problem with doing all the mods at once instead of over time.

Also, exhaust has more of a rumble (I like!) but we have a lot of course asphalt and tar seal with stone chip roads and the road noise is definitely louder now with the 18" wheels and lower profile tyres.

Sorry, not much more to report yet. Once I've done the 1,600km (again!) I will get it on the track and have more of an idea. Will also get some of the other 86 drivers to come for a spin as I have almost forgotten already what the stock setup feels like.

Might look at an oil cooler but that's it for the engine at the moment

All those TRD parts would contribute to a stiffer, less roll & more precise steer. More noise is a given from the lower profile tyres & exhaust & I guess a bit more vibration transmitted from the body. Let us know more when you know. Cheers !

Thanks, early morning.

I love how my red STI button breaks up the monotony of grey/silver in the cabin.

Yes, you'll see them as item 3 of what I added. They don't come as standard with the TRD86 conversion so had them added by the dealer.

I meant pictures.. haha and how's the feel of the coilovers compared to the base 86 you were driving before?

Here's my TRD coilover pics just for you.

Call me shallow but worth the money just to get the bright yellow colour!

Is it me or does a fully kitted up TRD 86 kinda take away from the simple joy of slowly modifying your vehicle?

Yep, you could be right. Certainly I'm sure that would be the case for a lot of people on this forum.

Personally I'm not a tuner or mod person. I don't have a mechanical bone in my body so I just wanted a really beautiful looking and unique car to drive and that's what I think I now have. And, I got it fast!

If you like tinkering with cars and modding then this quick TRD transformation wouldn't be for you.

Each to their own eh

Indeed =D Although I think this car does have the power to turn people into a tinkerer. Before I bought my GT86 I could not see the appeal in wasting money on fancy rims and now I've just blown a little bit over 2k on a set of 18" rims and tyres.
