Not a matter of "can" be they are different even if the actual parts on the car are exactly the same.
The Japanese (or any for that matter) cars built in the US for the US are indeed USDM. The ones built in Japan for the US are USEM not USDM.

The "domestic" in the phrase means exactly that.

And the crazies that spent countless thousands importing actual JDM parts into the US to put onto their vehicles have mental issues and most likely now also have financial issues as well.

And the even crazier ones that will never understand that many of those "JDM" parts are exactly the same as the export ones. Just because it came from Japan does not make it a JDM part!
I think my favourite was the dude on here that got really pissy when told his Chinese made "JDM" license plate frames were not "JDM" just because he ordered them from a site in Japan. If I remember right he said I was ruining his life (in earnest not as a joke) because I pointed that out.

So does that make vertical doors and bags technically functional? I mean you clear driveways and can get out in tight ass parking spaces! Lmaoo. I think we're the ones who are losing here.

Guess its time to hop on board.... Sike

Hah you could make that argument, but let's be honest, everyone whose added aftermarket lambo doors or bags has done it for the looks.

There are some track day groups that don't allow vertical opening doors incase of a roll over. I think HOD is one of them, can't remember.

Real Lambo door on real Lambos operate in a way that gives clearance since they go straight up.
Fake Lambo door on other cars have to open out and up. You lose clearance not gain it.

Yes, I should have drove it longer then I did. I learned manual on that car. Like a fool, I got rid of it for a Honda in the mid- '90's !!!! You live and learn.

Where are all the brown / tan vehicles now a days ??!! Toyota, please return the tan Pick-up trucks .... they were great, desert camo !! I suppose car manufactures could car less about making more earth tone colors. The 911 did come in a brown metallic (like bronze almost) , that was 8-10 years ago... not sure if they're still doing it now.

I'm old enough to have seen the "rice" trends change from the good ole days of F&F. In other words, can't call lambo doors rice but then call a 9.5-inch-wide wheel with 225 series tire and -10 degrees of negative camber "performance mods"......
