Lets face it, Subaru never was sweet looking. Yes, I own Impreza coupe & it looks nice... but compare to all the JDM cars that came out in that area, yeah it's not pretty

An FR-S/BRZ shooting brake sounds great in theory, but I'd have to say the execution is poor here...

Yes, despite how much I like the twins, Subaru makes ugly cars. I said it. I like to pretend that Toyota did all the styling. Which I hear isn't too far from the case.

The BRZ Shooting-Brake is almost the perfect daily driver. Make it lower, get rid of the cheap looking body kit fender flare things and put a proper transmission in it, at the least a dual clutch if not a manual. Why doesn't Subaru have a dual clutch transmission? Oh, and the 2.0 turbo from the new WRX would be nice too.
It's two inches longer with better rear leg room but is most likely heavier and not as stiff as the coupe. I guess that's not a bad compromise for those would want a back seat. Could this also serve as a platform for a sedan? |

I think the front and rear end look B-E-A-UTIFUL.
I could imagine a nice beautiful daily driver version with our motor probably a little more power though and also, a 6 piston boxer motor that's turbo/supercharged for a sick ass STI Edition of this car. That would give Porsche a run for their money. |

As a brand differentiators, perhaps it's Subaru that gets the dorky tall wagon while Toyota/Scion get the low slung shooting brake that the forum is screaming for. In the U.S. a fast funky wagon fits right into Scion's quirky lineup. Slap in powertrain elements from the Lexus CT200h and nearly all the rumored specs are there (+4", hybrid powertrain, CVT).

I hate SUVs and crossovers but if I was going to buy one then this or the Scion version would be it.
