Haha, I should have seen that coming.

There's much better beer to be had...maybe your next order will be packed with something tasty.

ok so I just realized it's been a long time since I updated this thread... mostly because I'm lazy and with COVID I have been really lazy about working on the car.

Since the last update I think the following have been installed...
ACE 350 header/overpipe
ACE front pipe
Swapped to the MXP CompRS dented up exhaust from the flood FRS @Opie and I bought
SPC rear toe arms
SPC rear LCAs
Eibach R2 coilovers
Cusco engine mounts
Cusco trans mount insert
Essex Comp sprint BBK

I still have rear subframe mounts to install.. and a cage that needs to be built.. and a tune that needs to be done.. and seats.. and harnesses... and fire suppression... and a coolsuit system... and a tracbox.. and a switchpanel.....and jdm underpanels and a trans underpanel.. and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff like brake fluid since the pedal goes to the floor right now.

Hopefully taking the car to Watkins Glen in early september.

Anyways here's some updated pics of cage prep and misc crap.

So first, using that little cap on the intake manifold to cap off a coolant line doesn't work really..

Replaced it with this which is sure to leak also

Cusco trans insert

ACE header/OP

Some pics before I removed it and the graffiti Integra Type-R from my garage and moved them to storage

Arrived at the storage place..

Cage prep starting. Dash/etc removed. Removing the blower motor and all the other HVAC crap. This job is absolutely fucking terrible. Beyond the dash you also have to remove the dash bar which is 8 main bolts plus the steering column (2 bolts to the bar, one mounting it to a bracket and then 1 for the bracket to the firewall) plus some pedal assembly bracket.. and then some twisting and pulling.

Fuck this thing.

Then started removing the rest of the interior.. also a pic of the brakes just because.

I'll start working on it again tomorrow to gut the rest then need to figure out scheduling for alignment, tuning/dyno (since it's far from street legal) and the cage builder.. assuming the seat bases and other crap will arrive soon.

Yeah I noticed those.. nothing was there and I didn't try to figure out what those wires were for so no clue what would have been tapped in.

Went back to finish ripping the last few things out of the car today and to check a few other things...

Shockingly, the EPS coupler on this 2013 is actually in good condition:

And eliminated the door panels:

Now it's really ready for the cage builder:

And I have a lot of random FRS parts making a huge mess in the storage unit......... anyone need some stuff?

Next.. dyno/cage/corner weighting/alignment/brake bleeding/seat mounting/harness mounting/fire suppression install/some minor aero/who the hell knows what else...

I have a month.. no problem lol

Did some more work on the car this weekend. Added metal to the firewall to block off the holes from the HVAC junk, installed the coolsuit mounting bracket, installed the fire suppression system bulkhead connector/passthru, installed a switch panel (to be used for the coolsuit and tracbox) with custom brackets, got the GY SuperCar 3R tires mounted and balanced and then put them on the car. Found that the belt was rubbing my Perrin intake too. At first though maybe the Perrin was the wrong one (17+ or something) but compared it to Will's and it matches exactly. My car does have Cusco mounts so maybe the engine is a little higher but seems weird still. Ended up trimming the tube on the airbox side to make it clear.

Didn't take too many pics - mostly of the switch panel work which is sheet metal bent with a 90 degree bend, some trimming to make it less likely to cut wires, riveted to the OEM stereo brackets and then rivnuts installed to attach the plastic panel. Eventually the fire system pull handle will go in the panel as well.

Brackets:

Close up of one:

Switch panel installed:

Red RPFs1 that I bought from @peaches mounted up:

And of course, the most important track mod ever developed....

Progress for this coming week should be: alignment, tune, seat base delivery so initial bucket seat install, trans/diff fluid changes.. maybe some other misc stuff. Need to get the car to the cage building soon.
