I personally think it's a bit silly also but whatever helps flatten the curve I suppose.
Drivers meeting can be held with proper spacing or even electronicky (i.e. Skype). The group drinking is not directly related to nor a part of the sport even if it could be the most fun part to some.

If things reach a point where ever single EMT is spending every working minute transporting elderly people to medical attention then the shit has truly hit the fan and Florida will be an empty wasteland in a week so you can just track on the streets.

I didn't say it was a great idea just that as far as social distancing goes then tracking would be one of the best sports.

Track should setup a key card and transponder system. Key card would keep you off track until your proper run group, transponder would tell them if & where you had an issue. Less manpower....

Lightened the car by a little more than 30lbs on Saturday. Removed the following unnecessary parts:

Stole Dave-Ror's taillights...

And filled the big empty radio hole with a delete plate.

So am finally headed to Sebring tonight for the weekend and get to try out all these changes! It's gonna be humid, hot and rainy...just like every other summer day in Florida but it's gonna be fun!!

Will be out there with my friend Aaron, owner of Opie & Dave-ROR's rebuild #6
@Dave-ROR says it's too hot....or he is just too slow...

Ran consistent 2:38's at Sebring this past weekend, put down a new PB of 2:38:33 on an old set of RE-71R's I used on Saturday with thinking it would rain but was Humid & Super Hot instead.

Sunday was dry so I ran a set of brand new R-Comp Hoosiers for the 1st time and set another PB of 2:37:88. I know there is a bunch more time with those tires as they grip like nothing I've tried before!

Parked the car after a few issues, thanks to the Sebring bumps LOL:
Have a slight tire rub in turn 1 I need to address since I'm taking it much faster than before, going to raise the coil-overs 1 turn at all 4 corners to maintain the corner balance.

Right end plate on the Big Wang lost a screw and the plate was dangling for a few laps.

Steering wheel became way off center during the day, I assume something is loose...or bent. Need to inspect to determine.

Was a super fun weekend, would've been a perfect weekend if it wasn't so hot & humid.

Have videos I'll get uploaded later this week!

Lmao you mention the heat and humidity like you dont already live in Florida. Its summer, mate!

Which Hoosiers are you using? What made you want to buy some brand new sticky bois if you're not doing NASA or SCCA?

This has been a constant issue for me as well the last couple years. Alignment feels fine but wheel will slowly become off center. I was thinking it could be the steering rack bushings degrading. Forgot to look last time I was under the car.

I'm surprised every year by how hot and humid it is here...you think I'd learn after 45 years...LOL

Hoosier R7's - They were a gift...and now I'm addicted to the purple crack....

Interesting....that seems to be my case, car still tracks straight and alignment seems fine (no pull, etc) just the wheel is way off center....I could go around turn 6 (right turn) and the steering wheel was straight...down the straightaways the wheel was at the 10:00 position...

Mine settles in about that position as well.
