A dude on here ran the USB cable under the drivers seat so it's right by your left side when you get in the car and then you just toss the plugged in phone in the door armest slot.

I'm not using android auto but that seemed like a fairly slick solution.

You can see how it works in this video (watch from 15 seconds to 45 seconds in)

That was the one I found that looked decent but GLHF finding one.

If you set a price alert somewhere like camelcamelcamel, you can snag one.

I routed my cable under the center console and out the dash. You can see images in this post.

what I did for android auto was I got the 4inch usb to usb-c cable, and it's just the perfect length for my note 20 ultra to lay on its back, and gets support from behind. My water bottle goes on the side. I considered the android wireless dongle but I'm making lengthy trips so need that charging.

Just wondering if there was an update/fix to the hyper flash problem yet? I have experienced it a few times since taking ownership of my MY22, have a couple videos of the problem but have not taken it into the dealer yet.

Thanks.

My AAWireless dongle has been doing great since I got it.

https://shop.aawireless.io/

Has some cool adjustable settings to adjust the dpi and such (try 103 for the ultrawide look - not my thing since it makes everything slightly smaller to read but might work for others).

Took mine back in today for it. 2nd time I got pulled over for "not signaling" with an officer behind me. Got a warning (showed him video of me trying to get it resolved). He was understanding at least.

Until it is fixed, you could stick your are out the window.

So, Subaru is keeping it for a few days for the foreman and some corporate specialist to check it out. It went to the shop for a few reasons:
1) Seat belt holster constantly squeaks (again) after 1st warranty replacement.
2) Scratches on the driver side window glass (full scratches from bottom/up). Caused when the window stopped rolling up/down for a day.
3) Hyperflashes for the blinkers randomly.

So... we'll see how this goes. Yay early adopter woes.

Couple things I've been noticing lately.
  • The seat will gradually raise itself up a bit over the course of a day or two. About 1 full pump of the height adjustment thing to get it back to fully lowered.
  • I get an occasional creak from the steering column (can both hear and feel); presumably from the power steering motor. Not reliably able to duplicate, will just randomly happen from time to time. Previous gen had an issue with the power steering coupler failing but seems premature for that to be happening. At some point I'll pull the steering column trim off and poke around.

I have not posted here for a while. I got my BRZ in Nov 2021 and have done 6k miles and 2 track days. I have upgraded the suspension with Ohlins/6k Swift springs and Ferodo brake pads for the track.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the car and no real issues, except I feel I’m having engine knock. Hearing it when the engine is digging out from low RPM. I don’t know if I’m imagining it or not. This has been present since new. Cannot hear anything wrong when revving in neutral.

Can anyone comment on this, should I be worried?
