5 arrived from Nengun last week. Nengun is always great to work with and this time was no exception. They must be wondering why there is a run on these parts...lol).

Anyhow, I installed all 5 on the HKS L spec (titanium tip variant) and they got their first 5 hour test drive today climbing up to Mammoth. I did this same drive a few weeks ago (and countless times before) with the OEM hanger bushings and swore I was going to dump the cat back soon, so I was anxious to see if there was an improvement this time. When I drive to the mountains I need to have my backseat down to fit my gear so the exhaust is particularly annoying compared to driving around town with the backseat up, where the noise doesn't bother me.

So, did it help? Surprisingly, yes it did. It didn't transform the car into a Mercedes, but it took a little of the edge off the aftermarket exhaust, especially when powering up long, uphill climbs. I am pleased with the results for the small cost and simplicity of the install. Thank you to the original poster for providing this information.

Has anybody been able to compare these hangers to something like the perrin ones to see if there is a difference or not? As I do currently have the Perrin exhaust hangers on the car so the exhaust tips didn't move even after hard cornering and stay centered in the cutout.

After reading this thread, I went ahead and ordered all hangers from Nengun. I just installed an HKS Hi Power Spec-L titanium tip variant, so we'll see how it goes.

Could other non-STI aftermarket catbacks benefit from replacing the rear two exhaust hangers? Has anyone tried and gotten results?

Read through the thread, people are reporting positive effects with non-STI exhaust as well

Why read the thread when a cool dude like you can give me the answer? But real talk, thanks. I might just buy them and give them a try.

I got mine installed recently, I did all five. My setup is an Ace CS 400 header, JDL Ultra Quiet front pipe, and CSG Spec cat back.

The difference is astonishing for such a simple, cheap, and easy change. It's not limo quiet or anything, but it's absolutely worth the cost and time to replace these.

For any exhaust retailers reading this, I highly recommend you start stocking these and offer them as an optional extra with any cat back. They're small enough and light enough to just throw in the box and it shouldn't even effect the shipping costs.

To OP, thank you for bringing this to our intention. I really didn't enjoy driving my car with this exhaust setup and was considering spending multiple hundreds plus many pounds of weigh and hours of time in sound deadening to quiet things down. Instead it cost $80 CAD and about 20 minutes of time. Phenomenal!

Amazing news. Can you explain what (and how) it was bothering you before and how it feels now? Unless you feel you wanna test for a month or so.

And on that topic, is anyone gonna try just the 2 back hangers and then the (5) complete set to compare? I might have to try doing this now that calum confirmed it makes a huge difference. it would be some interesting new information to share with the community.
