TEIN Flex coilovers with stock wheels?
So special thanks to FT-86 SpeedFactory for all the help (not to mention the great prices).
TEIN's and some rear control arms are on their way. I am just wondering if I will have any issues with the stock wheels. I was thinking of putting spacers on the stock wheels to push them out a bit, but have been warned about spacers. Will order some 18" wheels as soon as I figure out what I want. So, any issues with stock wheels (no spacers) with the TEIN's? Also, I am assuming that once I get the alignment done, I should be able to adjust height (small adjustments) and camber without needing to redo the alignment. |

There isn't necessarily a problem, but they will be sunken in. With the amount of spacer that would be required to push it out to where it needs to be you're better off saving the money and putting it towards new wheels.
Any time you make setting changes with the suspension you should have it aligned. My recommendation is to purchase the lifetime alignment from Firestone so you can make whatever changes you'd like and not worry about paying again and again for alignments. It'll pay for itself in two trips.

Thanks for the info. Just trying to figure out what wheels and sizes to go with.
At this point (may be different this afternoon), I think I am going to go with 18x8 in the front and 18x8.5 in the rear. Same outside diameter on the tires. About 1.25" drop. Will look to have the wheels flush with the fenders. Quote:
