The fast folks in 86DC do discuss the speed in T6 at Laguna.

Here's an interesting article on why Schumacher used not one but three speedometers, and touches upon whether just the tach is sufficient:
https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/co...three_digital/

Keywords: different gear ratios; and corners where it's unclear which gear is optimal.

Oh so now Schumacher is the authority?!? Kidding of course. Makes sense for a handful of laps, after that it seems like you would be used to where the revs are. Then again an F1 car has crazy close gearing so it may be easier to watch the speed in that case.

This is interesting: you can see 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66 km/h changing quickly in the shot at ~0:15.

How the hell is this still being discussed?
And now since Formula 1 cars do it it is an essential data point for a Twin on the track? Are there a lot of guys swapping gear ratios in their cars so they can see how speed is impacted?

We’re still talking about the cluster because we don’t have good enough pictures to discuss brake pad visibility. Yet.

10 pages later and OP's question is finally answered.

It actually looks like a decent refresh speed. OP should be happy.

This could be just a good clip editing.

But if it’s not, I can't wait to put it in crisis

Yeah, I was worried about that too. What if this clip is just sped up.

But the animation on the tachometer in that clip looks fairly normal speed, so I'm still optimistic overall.

Also.

65 kph @ 7000k revs in 1st gear.

If they have kept the standard gear ratios from last gen, then it confirms they have lowered the final drive below 4.100:1, at least in the BRZ.

If my stupid brain is working. I'm sure there is a google tool for this, but its way to late and I'll leave that for someone else.

Case in point, we found ... something from nothing.

Again. =D
