Smile Did you mean more experienced drivers?

I fall into this category as a mid fifties guy. I bought my BRZ after my AMG Mercedes was bleeding me dry!

I have dropped 100 kw in power, but the accuracy of the steering and road holding abilities of the BRZ is superior to the Merc in my opinion. I am hoping the Subaru will be more mechanically reliable as well as saving me some petrol cost.

I have put 18" rims on with lower profile tyres as the factory 16" rims were giving way too easily on bends under throttle.

I think you'll find the Subaru to be MUCH less expensive to maintain and repair than the Mercedes.

If you get a recall notice for the valve spring issue don't get it done if you don't need to for registration purposes

56. Just bought a 2020 silver BRZ with PP. Gave my 2015 Audi S4 and all of its maintenance to my son . Serious downgrade in power but upgrade in fun. It’s a hoot to be able to get to the limits of the car without risking going to jail! #Audis don’t drift well

Welcome to the club. I put nearly 250,000 miles on my old stage three A4. I loved the car at the time. But the BRZ fun factor and simplicity makes it a great alternative.

Another oldie!

I'm 70 and enjoying the BRZ that my son and I bought together. We have both done 2 Track Night in America events and had a blast! Great platform, Brembo brakes are awesome. I have a ND Miata which I think is terrific but the BRZ may be the better track car. Looking forward to doing more events next season.

Welcome to your new virtual home when you think 86/BRZ Fred.
Lots of old farts with this platform is seems..

65 here. My BRZ was my retirement gift to myself.
The PP option was a no brainer for the value offered.
Wait for the clueless neighbours to complain about the squeaky brakes when you get back home after a fun ride…

About buying it with your son… Do you actually believe that will work out?

Fred, from your location I think we might be almost neighbors. What track do you go to? Lime Rock?
