my red limited brz manual had msrp of $28,732 and the dealer added another $2500 on the sticker due to 'demand'. i ended up paying msrp though. i didn't want it bad enough to pay more than msrp. got it in nashville. i haven't seen a lot of brz's around this area

I was looking for this thread a while back. When I finally got my brz limited auto a few weeks back. I wanted to post my story of how I got my brz. I am a software developer and when I started to look into buying it I found it hard to find any in stock or any non-markup.

So I made a program that scraped all Subaru dealers in Cali and showed me their inventory. Once I found my car in oddly nearby I called the dealer and bought it that day at msrp this was after they told me there was a 5k markup. I paid about 33k otd after taxes, registration and I think financing.

You can checkout what's left of the program here BRZ Scraper I can add more subaru dealers if anyone wants to monitor one near them, note this wont work with fr-s because all Subaru dealers use the same layout and Toyota does not. You will need a gmail account to sign-in and please don't abuse the site it's not super secure but it's hosted for free and has a limit where it will go down after enough usage on a daily basis.

I got a Limited Automatic with the Popular 1A package for 26,876 through Clint at Heuberger. The dealer fee for processing title, etc... was 389, and the shipping was 650. I paid Texas only sales tax, which is just 6.25%.

Are you sure you bought a Limited vs a Premium? Invoice price is over $28k for your car.

Well, seeing as it has the push to start, keyless entry, fog lights, leather, and heated seats as well as a spoiler... yeah, pretty sure. THAT is part of why I have said that buying through Clint at Heuburger was so worth it. I didn't ****er back and forth for that price either. I contacted em, they said here is what we'll sell it to you for, I said "OKAY". Never had that happen at any other place. It does almost sound too good to be true, and frankly I was a little hesitant at first. Kinda waiting for the surprise. There weren't any. Clint and Heuberger are 100% legit and great to deal with.

It's possible if they were going into the factory holdbacks($1419 in total) to unload the car at that price, but it sounds a little too low to have the 1A Package on it. My own auto BRZ Limited was listed at $26,995 with no extras and invoice on that is $27,121 without the destination charge. I don't think his/her amount includes destination and even at that price before destination, the dealership made at least $1k on the deal.

That is an amazing deal. Congrats! I would have considered Huebarger, but I got a much better deal locally due to the tax break on my trade-in in my state (saved me almost $1200). I would love it if my dealer had the car for $1200+ under invoice like Hueberger sells their cars at. That is nuts when you consider holdback on that car is 2% of MSRP or less than $600. You will love the car, they are the read deal.

I thought dealer holdback on a Subaru was 2% of MSRP?

Definitely the limited. $26,867 is the exact same price I got for my Limited A/T from Heuberger. Mine came with 1A and rear cargo mat, @deange you probably have that too?

Nope. Invoice is no longer the wholesale price on cars so holdbacks are itemized and calculated from invoice, not msrp or a percentage of it. That's how you can get invoice/under-invoice pricing right off the bat and have them still make a profit on the car itself. Invoice that we see on sites like Edmunds is really 2-3% over actual wholesale cost depending on the manufacturer.

This is the list of holdbacks on the BRZ:
