Hi, I'm getting a 2016 in the new Oceanic Blue sometime in the next few weeks I hope. My question is, do you know if the car is waxed before i get it? If not what should I use to make it shine before i show it to people. Is Meguiar's liquid carnauba good or you recommend something else for a brand new car.Should i use polish or something else to make looks deep and shiny when i get it home? I have a 6" variable speed polisher i use. Thanks for any help.

Steve

Yeh i'm getting the front bumper done but I'm just wondering how safe it is to polish it up within the few days after I get it. The clearcoat I think should be cured after a month on the boat..lol

The paint is cured with high heat at the factory. No need to wait. Polish away

use common sense and care when doing the motor if you have any doubt please find a pro.

typically you want to stay away from the intake, coils, electronics.

Have you thought about using OptimumOpti-Coat Pro after you do the clear bra? Do some research on it. It's the best $395.00 I spent on my car. Makes washing car so much easier as water just sheets off. Beading is great. I wash every other week and use Optimum Instant Detailer after every other wash.

Steve,

Congrats on the new car - what type of machine do you have? can you take a photo of it and post it up.

Thanks! Yeh hope to hear something today on the new shipment of 2016's. Anyway I just have a Harbor Freight machine. Used it on another car and works pretty darn well. Also I'm looking into all PPF alternatives. I want thinnest but most rock resistant since i drive highway.
