I've heard that about your driving. I'd probably piss myself too.

Yea, I may not have always agreed with his politics but he was a class act I would have gladly bought a beer.

Random debate in my head.
Baby is due in about 2 months, so was looking into buying 2nd car. Cuz I'm NOT selling my BRZ and def it won't be easy to put in and out the baby (especially w aftermarket seats). My wife have WRX, so def it's not that I'll be carry the baby all the time. BUT I'm pretty sure, there will be time I need to take care the baby around. So ATM I have few car in mind. - Toyota RAV4 - Subaru Crosstrek - Mazda CX-3 - '22 Hyundai Tucson Now of course, there's Toyota GR Hot Hatch. If they bring GR Yaris, then it's out for me... but if it's GR Corolla Hatch (rumor to be), then that can be in the optional list. Of course, '22 Forester rumor to get FA24DIT (like Leggy & Ascent), so that's another option over Crosstrek. Main focus for this 2nd car are - Carrying the baby in/out easier. - Whole fams can fit + extra stuffs. - Wants a bit of power. - Prefer not V-engine (so prefer turbo), don't mind EV/Hybrid option. - Prefer CUV/SUV/Hatch/Wagon - Prefer bright colors (like Toyota Blue Flame & Subaru Orange) Did I miss other cars in the option? |

One of the guys I work with just got a new CR-V when they had their second kid. They like it a lot.

Only thing I'd say is I dunno that they've changed the rear seats/door configuration. My dad has a 2015 or so M3 and when I sit in the back it can be a bitch to get in and out because the doors don't open super wide and it's a little cramped. Though it's not super uncomfortable once you get inside, it's just the opening really.

Rear seats, I'm not too worry about fitting an adults. Main thing will be fitting the baby seats in & out. So when test drive the 3, I'll check to see how much rear door open. |

Other options: If you are willing to go European, there is the Golf sportwagen/alltrack. I have a Regal TourX that has it's ups and downs (regarding the transmission especially), though it's pretty long if you are restricted on parking space at all. They don't make either after 2019 but you should be able to find either a leftover new car or low mile used. Are you looking at something like lifted hatchback size or actual suv/wagon size? |

My wife will NOT go into VW. I don't mind European cars... but I gotta agree w my wife w no VW. I did look into Regal TourX. It's pretty much Levorg (just not Subaru). I heard about trans issue (a lot) and that's a bit concerning to me. |

Got a nice surprise today. After nearly 3 years missing and assumed stolen one of my prized PB guns made it back to me. One of my buddies had borrowed it and had it in storage. We had BOTH forgot he had it

About another car, if your only reason to get a third car is to be able to transport the child "from time to time", I suggest you take that money you would have spent on a car and start an college investment account for the child. Meanwhile, purchase a good rear facing child seat the will fit in the front passenger seat of your BRZ, for those rare times that you would need it. Just put down the back of the back seat so it doesn't look like you have a back seat in case a LEO stops you. Chances are they won't know. Now, for all of those of you that get all whopped up about the child's safety, I will site a few examples of children that were transported (without child seats nor seatbelts) in: * somewhere in the back of station wagons * in the back of pickup trucks * in the back of feed/dump trucks * in the front passenger, floorboard of various vehicles * just laying on any seat ...... and you can see that ol humfrz, @Tcoat , @Ultramaroon , @Sapphireho , just to name a few, turned out jest fine - |
