CD009 swap

I see mention of the CD009 trans swap, but can't find any information on the details. Can someone steer me to a website that covers the details and what is involved?

New bellhousing needed?
How well does it fit?
Any conversion parts to track down?
Does it become a single driveline or stay the two piece?

Any help appreciated. Been seeing it mentioned in here for a while, but when I dig on this platform, I don't find much detail.

I think there are other kits out there, Mazworx is the one I always remember.

https://vorshlag-store.com/products/...p-transmission

Vorshlag also does a T56 swap.

The Vorshlag T56 is for doing an LS swap at the same time. I don't think it's meant to bolt up to the FA20?

Thank you. I've seen the Vorschlag on their video of swapping in an LS engine. That Mazworks setup is really complete with cross members, driveshaft and a short shifter. Impressive kit. I know the CD009 is a beefier trans, but it looks like it's overall torque limit is not documented, as compared to a T-56 with a 700ft/lb limit.

CD009 swap

Wanna give my take on the mazworx kit i have it with a twin disc comp clutch and tilton hydraulic release bearing. A couple things i wished they did differently. The stock transmission has a bracket to secure the exhaust in place my guessing for vibration Mazworx doesn’t utilize that bracket so the exhaust has no support for the donut gasket and mid-pipe. They don’t note that it’s important to get the transmission and driveshaft angle right. The shifter is very loud it rattles and gets louder as rpms go up they said it’s “normal”. It is a cd009 so it’s chattery on top of the chatter from the twin disc as well but i like that because you kno race car i have pbm risers so it sounds like a sequential somethings lol finally the rear ratio from experience if your supercharged drop down to maybe a 3.73 or 3.58 instead of the stock 4.1 but thats if you want first and second to be useful. Is it worth it? I still haven’t decided that yet i dont track the vehicle so sometimes i question my financial decisions as we all do. If you opted in for the hydraulic release bearing just upgrade your master cylinder its too heavy and its like a on/off switch for the bite point tilton recommends a 3/4” (.750”) bore. If you got the funds get a clutch master cylinder w/the flow control valve kit it can be adjusted for daily driving and track. None of this Mazworx will tell you so plan ahead

Why did you get it? How much power are you making? How do shifts compare to stock?

Honestly it was a auto and they only wanted 9k with just 46k miles being a 2013 couldn’t pass that up. I got it because I planned to swap the auto to manual after two years and didnt want the stock tranny due to my car being supercharged with forged internals. Far as power i havent taken it to the dyno yet im at 21psi of boost with e85 and smallest pulley. I haven’t driven a manual brz but a friend of mines that drove it says it’s similar but notchey and loud

Only now seeing this.

Yeah I do have the Mazworx kit installed for some time now.

It has not skipped a beat n I sure have been beating on it.

You can hear the gear “chattering” in this video Below while I was going slowly in first gear.

Has anyone with the CD009 swap also run the S1 Sequential conversion?
