Advan RG3/RGD2 vs Wedssport TC105X
I own a 2020 WRB BRZ and am looking for 17x9 +35 wheels with 245/40 tires. Currently on stock suspension and planning for BBK.
Have been comparing the two for months. From what I've gathered, the Wedssports are about 1lbs lighter per wheel with better R&D. They designed their TC105X to dissipate the brake heat better and have gotten the paint down to 15nm which is much thinner than the 50nm standard(?) to save more weight. Do the Advan RG3/RGD2 have any advantages? Right now it's just making the decision difficult because I like the looks of Advans better. Is there anything that would help me just pull the trigger on one of these wheels? |

@aprl Sounds like a bunch of marketing fluff.
Any wheel from a reputable manufacturer will be fine. Unless you're a regional champ looking to beat your rival who's only a few tenths away, those kinds of differences are trivial. Pick the style and color that most appeals to you, since you're going to be seeing them more than you'll be feeling them. |

This is not an advantage (at least imo) if you're using them on daily driven car. I've found it hard way in my use as they seem to chip and scratch easily. Other than that the're beautiful wheels so go for them if you like the styling and the price is ok

Kind of sad to learn that. One of the things I loved about the previous TC105N is how durable the paint was. Price of performance I guess.
