I had been trying to do a lemons team for a long time, but realized among the people I knew that would be interested I would be doing most of the work and contributing most of the funds so axed it. It is not cheap and takes a lot of time.

My team is running a 96 civic DX.
Course my friend got the car a few years ago when it was still dirt cheap.
Thankfully he is a mechanic. The only thing we are paying for work wise is the cage.
Everything else is being done by them in their garage.

Yeah... def not easy or cheap. Especially if you gotta do most of it by yourself. If you live closer, I would def help (certain degree) and of course split the cost for the parts.

Random Question for everyone:
What do you guys think of have extra holes on the wheels? What I mean is some wheels have extra bolt pattern setup (5x100/5x114.3) &/or extra holes to keep the wheels light.

You like it or don't care? Just had quick debate w my buddy and I personally don't like of extra holes on the wheels. I understand the weight reduction part, but just visually don't like em.

I don't really care. I am not too picky when it comes to cosmetics. I think among those that are, the big deal is it makes them look like cheap wheels that have multiple bolt patterns.

I have a bunch of buddies that are Honda guys. They have backyards littered with D series engines left over from swaps, and 5 speeds.

The weight reduced at the hub is negligible. I would prefer a bit more metal and contact surface from an engineering perspective, plus that's more open space for corrosion to start. Visually, I don't really care that much, but I would prefer the look of no extra holes.

Paint the rotor wheel mount face black and nobody but the most fanatical “enthusiast” will even notice. Not even yourself after a couple of days.

Haha that pic is just an example. Either way rotors are painted to avoid rust anyways. Like you said, only crazy enthusiast will even notice and even those will know that certain wheels have those extra holes.

I noticed on some Quality brand wheels that are drilled to suit a single PCD, they are rated for different loads. Up too 200lbs difference. If that means something to you then it`s your decision!
So I`m a little more crazy then

Paint lasts on your rotors? And I mean at the hub, not on the disc face...

don't like it one bit.

but that of course comes more from my past, seeing everyone leave pepboys with a new set of wheels with multiple lug patterns on them...

i equate it with cheap disposable poser wheels. even if some of them aren't very cheap.

Sometimes love for all living creatures running on the streets can cost you $200 on a replacement wheel.
