I'm only 36 but judging from the last car meet I went to, that's considered "older" lol.

As the cars get cheaper the average age of ownership goes down!

Yep I've seen the exact same thing happen to 240s and Miatas.

Not to sound ageist but these kids are ruining the platform! (and I used to be one of them).

I'm looking forward to it. This is a perfect car for a young kid to get into. Cheap, tons of aftermarket support and fun. Easy to learn on too.

Mine was an 1982 Rx7. Loved that thing!

ETA 56, but I ain't old!

I concur. Even if they do things to them that make us old guys think they "ruined" it it is still a great base for them to start with and create their own.

So, I'm 57. I track my cars. I never set foot in a BRZ until I bought one. I liked it so much, I bought a beater with a blown engine to set up for the track. I wish I had a little more power. But I had to learn to drive the car in the high rpm range to fully appreciate it.
I hope to get in at least one track outing before cold weather to enjoy this car on a different level. So, yes it might look like a car for the younger generation, but we all can enjoy a well developed product at most any age.

Not going to post a number, but I'm smack in the middle of the graph there.

Been a few decades since I owned my last big block Mopar but when I did I was the young guy that "ruined" it. Cut up the rare Coronet R/T hood to install a shaker scoop and 6 pack off a Challenger. Jacked the rear end up about 6" by using "spacers" blocks. Cut away part of the underbody to install headers and side pipes. All in all a bunch of stuff that I would just look at and shake my head today.
Someday I will have another and promise I won't do any of that shit to it.

Ya, but that's what everybody was doing to the cars back then. I call it the day two look.
As for getting another though, prices are crazy for BB musclecars now. Tough to get 'back in'.
I swapped a rifle for my 440 4 sp Challenger in the early 80's. Now it's $25k for a car that needs $20k or more put into it.
