30 day ....... I get the military special .........

That way, when I ask for military discounts, I don't have to keep showing my ID card.

Spent last week driving a Kia through California. Did not crash.
Passed through Donner pass in winter. Did not have to eat Ultra.

Drove in the rain as a native CA resident. Did not crash (but did see two other crashes into the median and down an embankment on my 10 mile commute...)

Drove my FR-S to work today after a week of being chauffeured by @Tcoat.

Stayed more or less in the middle of my lane. Did not crash.

Odd thing is, that's how rain goes in Maryland too... One of these days, I'm going to remember to screenshot weather radar and Google maps with traffic to make a time lapse. All hell breaks loose the minute there's precipitation.

Icy roads around Chicago today. I fishtailed at one point, but did not crash. Had to stay under 30 mph in snow mode... Over-turned semi, spun-out city bus, several accidents. My favorite was an impatient SUV that tried a U-turn because traffic was backed up. Hit the curb hard and almost caused another accident.

Surprisingly, no. Thing grips like crazy, it feels like it's just cruising now at the previous tire limits. Track day funds can't clear up soon enough

Warm weekend and snow melted.
Temperature dropped to below freezing overnight.
Took turn into on ramp a little fast and hit black ice.
Rear end lost traction and car went sideways.
Accelerated instead of hitting brakes and drifted half the ramp.
Recovered and carried on more cautiously.
All happened so smooth it likely looked deliberate.
Other drivers were probably either really impressed or terrified.
Did not crash but it was bloody close.
