I feel like if you popped that dent out you would get a better price. Maybe you aren't trying to put any more money into it but I could see the value in fixing it being more than the cost of the repair. $8k is a cheap way to get into an 86 though GLWS.

OP, do you have info as to how/when the car was totalled in the first place?

Correct, not trying to add more money and if someone is going the widebody route this would be covered up easily depending of course on the kit. Thanks.
