Tons of options including changing TPMS sensor IDs and turning off the stupid seatbelt chime for when you put your phone in the passenger seat (the entire reason I got the thing).

I don't use it in subscription form. I bought it to turn a few things off, did that, and let the first month of use expire. I figure if I ever needed to use it again, I'd just buy the one month sub and use it. I think that's $7 which is definitely cheaper and easier than making a dealer trip to change the option.

Funny how we are all looking for different things, after replacing an old battery for a new one this winter I loss the use of the remote beep/car finder and wish I had it back

At least in the US models the car will automatically lock after 30 seconds out of range from the transmitter. My 2009 Scion does the same.

Could someone with JDM car please post all the stock configurable options? I would like to replicate all the JDM settings on mine...

P.S.: I didn't find the option to turn it on or off...

I think that not all the cars can enable the beep sound. Do you know which ECU controls this function?

Thats not true. If I don't remember to lock it when I get out at work, it'll stay unlocked the whole day...

I think that that option is that you unlock the car and don't open the door, it will relock automatically after 30 sec. (configurable)

That's correct. It doesn't automatically lock an unlocked car but it will relock a car that was unlocked but the door wasn't opened. Now may be different with a pure keyless/push button start option.

I confirmed my car definitely locks on its own if I don't lock it; unlocks on its own as I reach for the handle and the fob is in range. This may be why it's unlocked when you come back to it. It also beeps maybe 5x while I dry the door after a bath.

Yea, two different types of systems. The ones without keyless entry (where you have to actually touch something, either the key or the key fob to unlock the car) do not automatically lock, but will relock if you unlock the car and don't open the door.

The one's with keyless entry should lock and unlock as the key fob moves in and out of range.

As EU cars can't have the lock/unlock beep by law, it can't be enabled, so I'm planning to replace the ECM in my EU model with the JDM one; I checked the electrical wiring, all the same. The ECM is the same in LHD and RHD, so this is not an issue. I already have the JDM ECU calibration, so not an issue.
What do you think? The airbag electronic is different, as Japanese cars don't have the option to disable passenger airbag...
IDK about the keys (mine has keyless entry, one friend replaced the ECM with a used one and didn't have to pair the keys)...

Mine is a limited BRZ with keyless. Does not function like this at all. Nor would I expect it to. No settings have been changed since dealer delivery. If I exit the car and touch nothing and walk away, it will not lock by itself. Also, "unlocking" on it's own is not what's happening either. It's unlocking based on a proximity sensor in the handle that senses your hand in conjunction with the FOB in range. That same prox sensor will lock the car for you if you hold your hand by the handle before you walk away.

This all requires interaction, though, and is not automatic. The range of the FOB alone does nothing for any of this.

The delayed re-lock if I don't open the door after hitting unlock on the FOB occurs though. That's totally expected and normal. It's a safety mechanism for accidental FOB button pushes.

I could be wrong about the keyless entry, I was basing on the ones I've had experience with, which is not the one in the BRZ.
