Bumper Question
Hey guys! Dumb question, but I seem to have a difficult time removing that bolt connected to the rubber/plastic, everytime I put pressure on it, it seems like the plastic thing will rip off as well. Any suggestions? Thank you. Even when I put on the Spec D headlights I only had it half way because the bolt. I am now planning on putting a splitter on so I need to take it off.

is that the bolt from under the bumper, and off to the side a bit? not sure why you would need to apply any "pressure" to it whether removing or installing. the only hard/annoying part for that bolt was it doesnt stay still because the plastic its holding is flimsy. you shouldnt have to be torquing that thing down much.

You might try placing a flat head screwdriver under the washer and prying up as you unscrew the screw ......

Thanks, i'll give it a try ;-) I think it's just dead tight when it was assembled because the screw won't move, it's like the whole thing along with the rubber/plastic is going to rip off haha

Well now......back in the day .......I would have suggested that you place the screwdriver on the screw and give it a good rap with a hammer.
However, today that would bust up the plastic piece. humfrz |

After having to take off the bumper at least 3-4 times so far in only 5000 miles of owning the car I can tell you the clips suck and those two bolts are the only good part

So, @FRSBRZGT86FAN what's the secret to getting those screw/bolts lose .... ??
@Jovontea ...... here is a handy tool for your tool box to loosen up tight screws. It will either break them lose or bugger up the head so as to leave the only option being to drill it out. http://www.homedepot.com/p/TEKTON-3-...B&gclsrc=aw.ds humfrz |

The way you suggested, the same method used for stubborn computer screws, you unscrew it left while pulling down, alternatively you can attempt to reach it through the wheel fender liner because you have to undo those clips anyway to get the bumper off. Interesting, when putting that back as well it doesn't feel like it's actually screwing in it more or less pushes in.

@humfrz @FRSBRZGT86FAN Thanks for the tip guys, i'll def give it a try. I think at this point the screw mount or just screw in general is so tight it'll rip the plastic/rubber whatever material it is off lmao. If I unscrew it, one side is already ripped off haha. It sucks because I don't think anyone has a problem with this but me? :-(
@FR-Sky haha dang, just joined a week ago not sure how to work it, just cropped to 135 x 135 hahahah |

@humfrz I can give WD-40 a try but I only have around 4k miles on it so I'm thinking it was assembled dead tight?
