Drag Times in the Texas Heat

Made a few passes last night to get some baseline runs. My Goal is ultimately a 13.XX @100+

90* Evening
2.2 60ft
14.8 @ 94mph
225/40 Cheapo All-Seasons/18x9.5 TE37s

I/H/E
Grams TB
Underdrive Pulleys
Stock clutch/flywheel
Launch control: 4500rpm
E85

It’s street tuned by me & I don’t know if there’s anything left to squeeze out of it on a dyno N/A but traction was definitely an issue. It’s at a point where I don’t know if I should upgrade to the 4.3 or 4.56. Intake manifold swap or just grab some sticky tires.

Tires. Some 255s sub 360 tread wear summer tires could be worth over half a second.

Tires and seat time.

I don't mean to be rude, but I've ran faster times, 14.6 @96mph with a 2.0s 60', in an NA Neon that made 140 whp. You need to get your 60' time down first and foremost.

Agreed, I’m going to try to play with tires & get more seat time. My Honda is a different animal & the E63 was easy down the track. This is the first time I’m actually being challenged on that 2.0 60ft. I like it though. Any launch control rpm feedback could help(street tires & drag radials). Thanks for the feedback.

Your trap speed should be a little higher with e85. Was it humid? Low 14s are pretty common with ots tunes.
