Has anyone with Edelbrock SC installed also changed to the STI Engine mounts? thoughts on if its needed or what differences they've felt? I just have a regular D-Tune probably not above 250 WHP

Indeed there is, I always keep a paper towel in the engine bay for checking fluids and the sort. Perhaps I should replace it with a yellow napkin for an extra 5hp.
I figured it was a like-minded driveway mechanic technique to avoid the wind from stealing your towelette.

Keep the paper, it's lighter. A cloth napkin would be heavier and may upset the balance of the car, especially being up so high in the bay and on the driver's side.

How is routing the hoses with the blower on top? Did you follow the normal coolant bleed process to get the excess air out?

EDIT:

Rookie question: can you drive with the Edelbrock and never use boost (similar to a turbo)? I rarely lay into 50%+ throttle

Just run the car with the reservoir open and add coolant/distilled water until its up the fill line. it'll naturally push the air out and into the reservoir over time. You'll technically be in boost anytime you're not pulling vacuum to open the supercharger bypass valve.

I have a Radium PCV catch-can on the way. Does anyone know where to find a good install video for putting one of these on with an Edelbrock kit? Is it more difficult with the blower on top?

Think there's some posts on this thread with pics about it. Also edelbrock can walk you through the process too if you email them. Only the passenger side needs a catch can so you don't need the dual setup.

you might want to leave on the existing hose on the throttle body/intake side since that side is hard to detach/reattach and just add an adapter/fitting to connect to radium hose

It looks like I am going to need to remove the Edelbrock airbox to get to the hoses for my Forester oil cooler. Alternatively, I can splice into the existing hose and just lengthen the hose to reach the oil cooler. I can get to the throttle body outlet without taking the air filter off, it's just the inlet on the block I need to get to.

Any tips for easily taking the intake off without removing too much? Can I just remove the screws on the air filter housing to get it out of the way?

Thank you. I am still learning how to do this stuff myself

I always start with the clamps closest to the throttle body and the intake box then pull everything in between. Not going to be able to get the back of that housing off without removing the MAF assembly.

Thank you. So would you suggest just removing the closet clamps to the airbox and throttle body, then remove the MAF as a tube unit? I just need clearance to get to the throttle body coolant inlet under the blower.

If you can remove it that way, I think it's easier to just take it all into pieces since installing as a single unit is pretty difficult.

I have removed the air box a few times, typically i remove the clamp closest to the air box. The tube has enough flex that it’s not terrible to put the air box back on that way.

I dont know enough about K&N filters because i've never used them before i installed the Edelbrock, but i'd think the non oiled filter would be a different media.

I could just email Edelbrock and see what they say.
