Does it come with a plug for the hole in the firewall after you delete the noise generator?

It comes with a rubber stop (like what you'd find on the end of a broomstick or fold-up chair's leg). The instructions say to leave the last section of the sound tube which feeds into the firewall intact (all other sections forward of that last section are removed). The plug gets applied onto that last section.

Personally, I took off all the sound tubing and plugged the firewall with my blue TRD sound changer (which is basically a plug completely blocking off sound/air) since it's specifically designed to plug into that hole.

Do you guys know if the TRD intake will void frs or brz power train warranty?

It won't void warranty repairs to unrelated faulty parts like, say, a faulty transmission. But if Subaru can attribute an issue to the intake, they can try to refuse warranty repairs unless it can be proven to not have been caused by the intake. If it's an issue many others have had even with a stock intake, then it can be argued that the intake was not the culprit and you should qualify for warranty repair. For example, I asked my dealer (who noted my Takeda intake in their records) if warranty would be honored I were ever to get the idle/CEL issue and they said yes. If your dealer is being a hardass, look for another more understanding dealer and don't be a douche because being granted warranty service can boil down to your people skills. If none of the above work, as a last resort you can try to contest in court with backing from Toyota since this intake is designed and warrantied by the OEM for use on identical OEM parts.

Generally, they should be lenient on things such as intake and exhaust. Those are very common mods and I've never heard horror stories from people being refused warranty repair nor of things breaking because of those mods. I'd be more weary of modding things like your engine internals or forced induction.

With all the above being more on your side rather than against, I wouldn't worry so much. Someone can chime in if I'm wrong.

Here is a pic of my dyno last weekend. I have the following:

aFe dry drop in filter
Dynotronics Ecutek Tune

Joe @ Dynotronics is still dialing in my car, so it will make more power in the future. I will receive the TRD intake from on thursday. After I install it, the first thing I will do is some datalogs and send them to my tuner. I will do another dyno in the near future at LoneStarDyno.

Got mine in and installed today. So happy with the fit and finish. The TRD lettering doesn't even bother me like I thought it might.

Here's pics of a comparo of the filters and all the part numbers:

Good idea, but I'll be to anxious to wait for the paint to dry.

Got my TRD intake with the TRD exhaust yesterday. The car sounds so much better now. And the throttle response is a bit better, nothing too impressive but an improvement for sure.
