Albon trolling the Alpine driver saga…

"I understand that, with my agreement, Williams Racing have put out a press release this afternoon that I am driving for them next year," he wrote. "This is right and I have signed a contract with Williams for 2023. I will be driving for Williams next year."

So Danny Ric out at Mclaren? Not official yet, but that is what everything I have seen online is suggesting.

Honey Badger could return to Alpine as per Otmar Szafnauer but I would bet from their previous communications they have not asked him yet…

https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/24...ess-opens-door
Wolf showed interest in him previously and may pick him up for to have in 2024…

His Sponsor Singtel Optus just renewed their backing in the last few days.
Other rumours would be to go to Williams or Formula E, IndyCar

Hope Piastri has good lawyers & wise management or he could be out of the ride he wanted and shunned by Alpine.

If he leaves F1 I hope he tries a stint in Indycar, I think he might have success there.

Great driver, but was never in the right team at the right time to contend for a championship. If he wasn't Verstappen's teammate at RBR things might have been different for him. Always love watching his interviews, he's quite the character.

Dani Ricc is one of those drivers that you wish won the championship not only because of skill, but because how lovable they are. Guy is a character.

He should definitely take a sabbatical and try Indy, Le Mans, or even rally. Kind of like Alonso that left F1 and went on to win Le Mans and compete at the Dakar.

Problem is every year older he gets, the less likely he is to be World Champion. So if he wants it, he's gotta go for it now. Not that he's gonna get there with McLaren atm.

The problem with today's top cars is that you need extreme reflexes to drive them well. There's so much grip until there is none. And reflexes go away with age.

DR and Seb are my two favorites among the F1 drivers of last few decades. They come across as genuine human beings.

The other thing is what top team would sign him. Mercedes? Possible, but very unlikely, deff not RB. Probably not Ferrari as they have two young drivers. If Lewis was to retire next year, they would bring Ocon, thought judging for his races against Fernando it may not be a good move for Mercedes if Russell is to be their #1 driver.

I am guessing back to Alpine or Indy even though he says he hates ovals.

Now …Ricky Bobby is allegedly seeking a $21 million pay-out from McLaren in exchange for the early termination of his contract with McL

That’s a lot to appease his humour at the moment.

I'd like to see DR move to IndyCar as well. Grosjean has been fun to watch,, had a pretty good race last week until he got stuffed in the wall LOL.
