Anyone else have that person at work that will email you, and then come find you to tell you that they sent you an email

I love how they act like I am the asshole for telling them "no shit." Especially when they stand there for 10 minutes while I am on a phone call trying to get my attention.

My previous employer was full of people like that. Sometimes they'd show up before the email made it.

Them: Did you get my email?

Me: yes but I figured you'd come in here and tell me about it so I didn't bother reading it.

Just had one of the weirder things happen while out for a drive. While going along a back road with some traffic I heard something hit the inside of the b pillar and didn't think much of it. Figured it was a pebble or something. Turns out it wasn't a pebble, it was a bee, and it fell down to the bottom back of the driver's seat.

A couple of minutes later when I shifted my weight it thought I was trying to squish it, probably because I was squishing it, and it stung me right in the middle of my lower back. It took a moment to process what happened and I finally thought to pull over in a parking lot since the pain wasn't going away.

Got out of the car, felt my back, and saw the nearly dead bee still on the bottom of the seat. Amusingly I was too much of a wuss to take the bee off the seat with my hands, so got the tweezers from my pocket knife, carefully picked it up, dropped it on the parking lot, and then euthanized it with my foot for far longer than I probably needed to. Thankfully was able to get the stinger out and am home now, but its starting to swell. Time to take some Benadryl and then promptly pass out.

i've had something like that happen off the inside edge of the side mirrors. once on the work truck and once on the car. the work truck time, the bug hit me next to my eye, i think it was a fly, but hit hard enough it seriously felt like something went at me stinger-first

Was it a bee or not-a-bee? (wasp/hornet/yellow jacket)

Oof. Suppose it could have been worse. Usually I'm alone on back roads and nothing gets in to the cabin. It is PA, though, so have to keep an eye out for the errant cow walking down the middle of the road.

After consulting Google I feel comfortable saying it was indeed a bee. Now it is a smudge in a parking lot.

i was searching for a relevant gif, and this somehow popped up in the image search results.

this is not a political statement, just laughing at the irony of how some truly believe that a country lacking any law enforcement will be better than it is now...
