FRS/BRZ Interior Compilation

Surprised someone hasn't started this already...There are lots of topics asking for pics of your exterior mods but what about your interior? Trims, boots, knobs, cell mounts, etc. all can be shown in an interior shot

Post yours up!

Here's mine:
A couple notes
- JDM shift knob (switched to TRD shift knob)
- JDM door handles (red) with plasti dip (black)
- TRD decal
- Yospeed console plaque
- Diode Dynamics TRD console insert







I'll try to add a few more pics of some other interior enhancements (my cell phone/ipod/head unit setup is perfect)

Um... I was almost certain there was a thread about this, but I'll be damned if I can find it. There are a few that never went anywhere which I'm finding, but I could've sworn there was a successful one somewhere. Oh well, if it's hard to find, it's too hard to find. I'd post, but I don't have interior shots yet. Soon...

i havent really seen a dedicated interior photos thread, couldnt find any when i tried to search. (could be wrong) Ive also been searching for the past few weeks for ideas...
at least this thread title seems pretty clear.

Great idea for a thread, I'll post mine this weekend once I get the last couple pieces installed.

To my knowledge, I've done every OEM interior upgrade, except for maybe a shift knob (I like the TRD one but I'm still up in the air about whether I am OK having a "TRD" visible in the interior of my car, I suppose I'd rather have a "SPT" or "STi" shift knob)

Seems like that's all Toyota/Subaru wrote, at least for now. I like the interior, it seems a lot more subtle and upscale than the cheap and garish silver trim. I don't want my interior to be "Wow, this guy did a ton of mods", I want it to be "Hey, the BRZ has a nicer interior than I would have expected" for people who have never sat in an actual stock BRZ interior.

Yeah I'm with you - couldn't believe it didn't already exist but after 10+ minutes of googling....I gave up. Cant' be very successful if it's that hidden

So let's make a successful one! The best ideas come from seeing how everyone else did theirs to compare what you like/dislike and the interior is what you (as a driver) will see the most

as soon as i got the car i wanted to ditch all chrome and silver. so as soon as i could i wrapped everything in micro-suede myself.



The sued began to fade a bit, and also i had other ideas for the interior so i switched to the all black trim.

Also here is a little mod that i personally LOVE...a courtesy light. most higher end cars have them and its so subtle but makes a huge difference. at night i always find myself looking for the heated seat buttons or i can't see whats in the cupholders and i dont want to turn my dome light on...so this is PERFECT in photos its really hard to make it out but its just really soft red lighting that makes it possible to see the center console at night but it isn't distracting at all. i'll let the pictures explain:



test fit LED, make sure tip of LED is inside the hole, and aimed at a slight angle towards the rear:



then mount the LED in place:





i just wired it to my radar, just a power and a ground. thus it will be on when ignition is on...and off when car is off. really simple.



and finished product:



can see at night what it does, but the cellphone can't capture how thin the light spreads...its really barely noticeable but perfect to see interior.

This is what it looked like before the teardown...



added the OEM armrest.



and then i ripped out the interior and said "fuck it", cut it up and figured i do what i want.



and then it was all filled, sanded, and i shipped it to a good friend of mine @Overland Designs. All of the Wrapping was done by Jason (overland04) and i can't thank him enough for the work and effort. It was wrapped in genuine black alcantara (same as the seats material). go to his FB page if you're interested in his work or have questions.

I made a few interior changes too, just enough to make it a nice place to spend time while having a great time driving.

JPM alcantara gauge cluster hood
Sutty's armrest
JDM door and console knee pads
Zeta seat heater brushed aluminum trim
WeatherTech floor mats
Diode Dynamics "Subaru" brushed aluminum replacements for the "WeatherTech" sticker
Diode Dynamics stage 2 LED map/dome light
