I agree it's mostly just for fun but the Dionysos Leader had BRZ's on it 100% for sure, so it stands to reason that if it's still moving to other ports that it has others as well unless it's empty and just moving somewhere else along the coast to pick up more cargo.

Tracking these is nothing short of obsessive but I've found obsession is a good waste of time!

Weird, it shows the Dionysos Leader heading back North again. I'm no shipping expert but if the Dionysos Leader is heading back to Vancouver I'm going to have to question their strategy in loading these boats. :P

The east coast shipment should be coming in through Baltimore from my understanding.

I too think it is a bit odd to drop cars in Vancouver, BC, travel to Tacoma and then right back to Vancouver, BC. This leads me to believe that any BRZs that were on the D-Leader were dropped in Vancouver, BC and not Tacoma.

Vancouver, BC and Vancouver, Wa both process Subarus, while the Port of Tacoma does not. Also, Toyotas are processed in Portland, Or. Portland and Vancouver, Wa are just across the Columbia River from each other. So any BRZs coming to the Pacific Northwest should go to Vancouver, BC or Vancouver, Wa.

The Century Leader appareantly offloaded Toyotas/Scions/FR-S in Portland, Or on the 14th of April. I could not determine if that ship stopped in Vancouver, Wa and offloaded any Subarus/BRZs. The next Subaru carrying ships to stop in Vancouver, Wa would be the Green Ridge and NOCC Caspian.

Green Ridge offloaded on 19/20 April and NOCC Caspian on 26/27 April.

My SWAG would be that the D-Leader dropped BRZs in Vancouver, BC around the 25/26th of April, while the Green Ridge and/or the NOCC Caspian delivered BRZs to Vancouver, Wa.

Yes but thanks to Enemies (username) we know that the Dinoysos Leader is delivering Canadian BRZs.

There is a very strong possibility that there are BRZs for the US on the same ship.

As for why it seems to be headed back north I'm not sure. To bad we can't get a good look at the Port Of Tacoma lot where they offload cars.

LOL look at it's path.. north to get back to open water, west, then "oh crap we left a coupel BRZs on here", loop around in the channel, go to Richmond

Looks like it's at a Mazda port though (I see me some Miatas). We know it was carrying BRZs thanks to you but maybe it wasn't too many and mostly other brands?

I'm not sure how they load these maybe 3 or 4 companies will have cars on them at a time? Especially since Subaru isn't shipping the number of cars some others do? no idea.

As mentioned above though, Subaru doesn't use Tacoma.

Mazda does. Mazda also uses Richmond, BZ - where the D Leader is right now.

So most like the D Leader is mostly full of Mazdas and a few small shipments of other cars, like the Canadian BRZs.

I still stand by my opinion that BRZs are already on the ground in the US, maybe not enough for the launch, or they are just holding them back in normal fashion. Or if not on the ground, much close than the original information provided by the OP source.

Subaru also uses Portland as well as Richmond, CA(lifornia) as WC ports of entry.

Clearly the D Leader is making multiple stops and isn't just carrying Subaru's, but I still think its likely it is (or was) carrying BRZs.

No disagreement on that

The part that bothers me the most is that the ship should've been loaded in a way that Tacoma vehicles were dropped off first, and then Vancouver... for the 2 off-loads there rather than bouncing back between 2 countries. Seems highly inefficient.

I think the only plausible explanation is that the Dionysos Leader is a drug mule.

Or that some Vancouver cargo was headed to Tacoma and/or vice-versa. :P

This may have to do with loading order vs. unloading. If you notice it's at a different area in Richmond then the first stop there. What is most efficient is not always obvious.
