I still like the interior on the 1st gen more. As long as that digital dash has little/no "glow" when it is dark out, I'll be fine. I'm impressed with the black-level on my GTI's screens, although I still wish I could turn them off.

I'm looking forward to seeing one in real life. I'll consider buying one when the performance pack and/or tS is available. Hopefully the GR86 is more universally liked, so styling isn't someone's only reason for not buying one of these.
I will buy one regardless of styling. My goal is for a dedicated track car that I don't have to worry about walling. So a second hand PP will be sooooo attractive when they start coming down in price.

The Z does have a bit of a funky warp in the rocker panel but at least most of it's lines work with each other in a far more cohesive manner. At least they got rid of those good awful massive door handles they loved for so long!

I would have no issue considering the Z except for one killing thing. It is a two seater only! I rarely ever use the back seat but when I do want to take another person (on a short trip only for obvious reasons) I need that seat back there.
Never really looked too much into the new Z, but it’s not bad. The body lines and overall design flow really well in comparison to the BRZ. Not the biggest fan of the rear end, but it’s not ugly my any means. I was between the 370Z and BRZ when looking for a new car and I ended up picking the BRZ because of the rear seats.

I'm keeping my 1st gen for this purpose.

This may also be the case of others.
my first one was bought in january of 2014. it was a matter of financial timing, as well as options availability in my area. drove it home in a snow storm that developed while finishing the paperwork at the dealer.

and also because heuberger motors refused to take a deposit on a car a few months in advance in the fall(i wanted to fly out, and road-trip it back).

I was thinking about this too, but it might be too hard to find a used gen 1 or 1.5 with pp here.

Seems like I will wait until Jan-Feb before thinking about next steps.

Nice car you have.

had. it was a nice 4 months. the valve covers leaked.

not everyone stops for their stop signs.

the 2nd one has lived a longer life since may of '14.

in hindsight, i wish i'd slowed down for the intersection. i don't regret replacing the car though. it was a good life lesson that no matter the level of customization, cars are in the end, a mass produced commodity, with little variation between each other.

Somehow the front fenders and side profile resembled the electric mustang cuv when I saw a commercial for that yesterday.
