I personally haven't heard of "cars being lost", but when cars are ordered close to a cut off deadline, they can disappear sometimes meaning that the order missed and they cant fulfill the order.

I used to work at a dealership, which makes it harder to believe that it was lost. I think they sold your car that came in to another client and said they would dealer trade for one spec'd the exact way you wanted it. That aside enjoy your BRZ!

Nope. The vin number on the car I bought matched the one I was given when I put the deposit down. Also, I saw the window price sheet from the other dealer.

Glad to see OP got his car with an upgrade. I'd keep the marked up window sticker. Higher resell to those who don't do their homework should it happen.
