Technically 4; it's a long story. MR2, E30 BMW, Celica convertible, M-B E320. The Celica I bought to fix up and flip; I've yet to drive it nor do I plan on driving it. The E30 was supposed to be my winter beater because I was borrowing my mom's old car (E320), but it hasn't left the garage due to mechanical overhaul. The Merc lasted much longer than I thought it would, but it and the Celica are going bye-bye when the BRZ comes this April. Possibly the E30, too. Maybe the MR2 as well. I don't even know anymore. Cars ruined my life.

How'd you change your user title, btw?

Ha! You should be so lucky...Subaru could have designed it the way the new Civics work by making the RPM's hover for 1/2 a second before the needle drops. It makes shifting smoothly difficult in certain scenarios and I'm guessing will result in premature clutch wear.

It is refreshing to learn that the twins do not have this idiotic implementation for the Greenie Weenie crowd(apparently the reason it exists). The Accord doesn't have this system, but an Si does?!?

A lightweight Flywheel + lightweight pulley will surely diminish this issue, I think(Because I never done it on this car before yet). It's something I will take priority once my clutch runs out or my power level is too much for the OEM clutch to handle.

Yes, "rev hang"! I first heard about this when I was reading up on the Gen Coupe. In fact, that, along with the seemingly terrible trannys they come with, are the reasons I'm here. I wasn't dealing with that.

I think it would be a wash or worse. Yes, less rotational mass will give better throttle response, but it also exacerbates the initial power drop which the OP complained of to begin with upon releasing the accelerator since you have less rotational momentum.
