You aren't going to lose your turbo if people can see it.

Sure you can. The police can refer you to a smog referee in CA, or some dip civic owner will think he can jerry-rig your turbo (once he sees it and steals it) to more quickly spool up his VTEC power, yo...

^ Yep, cuz its just that simple.

Its not just the states that need to worry about passing a visual inspection, other countries have this issue as well. If you want the turbo to be front and center, the P&L system would suit you. Some of us like to have fun and not show off, and thats exactly where this kit shines.

This kit shines pretty much everywhere. AVO is a great company, this kit is clean and to the point. I was just kidding about moving obviously nobody would do that. I just prefer a top mounted turbo and even if I lived in CA id still probably do it and run no cats but that's just me. If there was no top mounted kits, AVO would hands down be who I go with.

True that. But some people do it even in non-nanny states as well. To each his own I reckon.

It's not necessarily flaunting either. Nothing wrong with being proud of something. Flaunting is a different thing, and is a negative.

Personally, I like having the car stealthy so it's like a sleeper so when that ass does a U-Turn and pulls up next to you trying to race you because he didn't notice your fmic, well then smile and let er 'rip.

However, I completely trust AVO workmanship and would get this kit no matter what the hell it looks like.

dumb question:
does painting the Intercooler affect the cool-ability at all?
It is a thick layer of paint over the metal.

thanks for this but I still don't understand this logic:
