17x8.5 wheel options
I have been looking for 17x8.5 wheels. I just came across these wheels.
Fast Wheels Rennen 17x8.5 +35 20.6 lbs. It says they are new. Has anyone tried them? Fast Wheels also has a 17x8.5 dual pattern 5x100/5x114.3 wheel called the Attack. It has a +40 offset. I don't like the look as much, but it is slightly lighter at 19.8 lbs. Are there any other 17x8.5 wheels that are a reasonable price? Thanks! |

Not really. Volk makes a few, but they're not what I would call reasonably priced. 17x8.5 isn't a common size, usually it's 17x8 or 17x9.

That is definitely an uncommon size.
I just took a look at Tire Rack and out of 237 17" wheels they offer for the twins, not a single one is 17X8.5. There are a fair number of 7.5s, but the 8.5 must be a size that either was never offered because it was assumed it wouldn't sell well, or they tried the size and it just didn't sell. Of course, that's strictly a United States perspective - I'm not enough of a wheel guy to know if 8.5s are popular in Asia, Europe, Latin America, etc. I think 8.5 would be an ideal wheel width if an owner was running 225-width performance tires on a twin. |

Good ol' RPF1's:
http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merch...de=BRZ-ENKRPF1 Oakos is the only vendor I've seen that carries them in 17x8.5 in our bolt pattern. Why not just go for 17x9's though? |
