Interior Door Reflectors/Lights

Does anyone know if the red reflectors on the bottom right of either door actually work or are they just for show? I pulled the lens off the other day thinking that there should be a light in it, but it wasn't. However, there was a place to put a socket and a bulb. Im assuming that these are courtesy lights. Just not sure if anybody's work.....help.....

They work in the BRZ and the GT 86. Sounds like a simple enough bulb/tap job and get power from the power windows unit, though they'd be "on" all the time.

Do they work in your FR-S?

It is just a reflective housing in the FR-S, no light. Here is a link that should give you all the info you need:
