Yep. Then we grew up and saw what assholes we had been and stopped.
Oh and most of the guys saying that the whole fake pop thing is dumb are not old.

Drinking alcohol is dumb too, but I don't feel the need to drag out a 60 comment thread about how terrible it is

Would if it was a thread about drinking alcohol.
Just take your participation ribbon and carry on.

Well I am supposed to move to another city and sell my car so leaving a thread is sort of small time.
Do you sit in your driveway and rev the ever loving shit out of your car all the time?
Do you feel the need to go WOT (not that you could do it long with your swap) every time you leave a stop sign through a neighborhood full of kids?
Do you feel the need to make as much noise as humanly possible with a piece of crap car and a tune?

We are not talking about performance cars that make a bit of unavoidable noise. I can live with that. We are talking about making a car create noise for the sake of making noise.

So you are saying if someone made a mistake and learns from it they are not allowed to pass that information onto someone younger?

If the OP wanted to just say this is what I am doing because I like it is one thing. When he wants to make stupid remarks like "most new cars literally do it from factory or from just adding an exhaust on its own as well", he is kind of asking to get dog piled on.

"We are talking about making a car create noise for the sake of making noise." Like open headers on a ... Literally anything. There's no performance gain to open headers unless you have forced induction. Yet I've seen quite a few stories of such things on here.

There's no info being passed on here. It's not old timers guiding the younger generation down the righteous path. It's just a bunch of people whining about the same shit they did when they were younger.

If you want to gloss the thread over and ignore what you don't want to hear then I guess that is true. You must have never experienced getting your spots shutdown and not learning why till you matured.

Your limited experience is showing.

Stock Mopar manifold

Headers

So tell me again how there is no gains?

What are you running on your swap? Stock exhaust?

Hooning gets spots shut down. Not distasteful mods.

Your limited reading comprehension is showing. OPEN headers. Not headers when used in a complete system

Revving would generally be considered hooning yes, though it definitely is a grey area since you aren't TECHNICALLY driving. I've never heard of a meet getting shit down because of loud stereos
