So my build has been quite interesting. I've put on the blower, thought I spun a bearing - turns out it was a pre-o2 sensor exhaust leaking causing the o2 sensors to lean out (no codes).. just dumped fuel into the oil and caused a bad knock. Pull the blower off, drained the oil, (still thinking it was a spun bearing at this point), and it worked fine with stock tune. No knock, no issues. Ran it for a week just to make sure. And then, there was no issues. Changed the oil again, just to make sure. Put the blow back on, loaded a safer tune (less timing), and have run it with a different header (flange wasn't decked correctly on the first - causing the leak). Car runs great. I'm using a 69mm pulley, which is probably causing me to overspin the blower a bit on the top end, but the power gains were good. With 93 Pump gas, I ran a 256/211 HP/TQ.
Now for some W/M...

Has anyone used the Motul Gear 300 LS 75W90
https://www.motul.com/au/en/products...r-300-ls-75w90 to replace the supercharger oil? VI looks very close - and viscosity at 40 Degrees C and 100 Degrees C are similar. The addition of friction modifiers in the motul may be of concern, but I can't see it being a bad thing... Any opinions? |

There is a difference in Viscosity between the two - the non-LS is closer to the Redline stuff at 40 & 100 degrees C and the viscosity index is much higher on the Gear 300 - maybe a change is in order. Do you find you need to top it up a fair amount? The stuff I had in there from sprintex mysteriously disappeared - I don't want that happening again... |

Two things: one, my charger has about 1.7k on her now. What fluid should I buy when I fill it?
Two, have a buddy who has a locked up 210. Ran with low/no oil and the screws binded. Anyone know of a solution and/or rebuild kit/service? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the rebuild guy. I'll have to ask.
The plus blowers are here and moving out the door. There is no trade-in option. We refer to these as the "SPS" blower. |

If you can check on the rebuild. Appears it was just run low on oil, heated up, and caused the secondary screw (non pulley) to bind. Flat spotted the screw, can see it from the intercooler opening at the bottom. I can only assume the case is a bit chewed, but we haven't opened it up yet.
