A JDL LS swap kit...now that would be worth paying for.

I'd feel less guilty about taking out my JDL headers too.

Are there any specifics on this particular swap? It looks like the mounts are al finished up nicely almost in a production manner.

You can improve the room and run the collector much lower by removing the front crossmember and replacing it with a tubular unit... People have been doing it to Mustangs for years. I'm alarmed that ANY engine swap guys have kept the stock front crossmember - it's unnecessarily huge and in the way. It would be much easier to make a new crossmember with application-specific motor mounts than trying to make adapters for the stock mounting points, especially because the front crossmember just bolts on and off.

Example is a mustang front crossmember, the single picture is of the FRS front crossmember. Look at how much space you could open up if you replaced that... You could even delete the stock power brace and integrate it, and be left with a proper K-frame.

But look at me ranting. Anyway, anybody who's ever installed an overpipe knows how shit and oversized that stock crossmember is.
Tubular K members ARE a great way to do engine swaps since the swap and the frame can be designed to accommodate each other. I am using one in the Molvo project.

The one overlooked point with most tubular K members is that they don't put up with a lot of abuse. Tube stays strong as long as it is round. A lot of shit happens when you drive on the street, look at any factory K member and you are likely to see some form of damage from road debris.

I would be reluctant to jack a Mustang up using any of the tubular K members I have seen.

By the way, the crossmember structures in this swap look very robust.

Still no video of the car running?
