Mar 13 - Sub-woofer Install

My spot in the Integrity Concepts queue finally came up! I had the sub made with the speaker terminals on top so that I could plug in and easily unplug it with banana plugs.

Mar 29 - Track Day

I washed the car and got her track ready. I put on some Michelin Pilot Super Sport 215/45R17's and Hawk HP Plus pads in the front. Thanks for the help @smbstyle.

Here you can see the foglights and my piss poor phone camera.

You can't really tell she's got better rubber and pads, but you can sure feel it.

May 19 - Got hit

Today I was "merged" into. An older gentleman in his big SUV appearently didn't see my slick car cruising beside and IN FRONT of him, decided to hit my entire rear quarter and door. Thankfully, he didn't touch the wheel so there is no alignment damage.

Getting it repaired at the dealership has been a pain in the ass. They failed to buff it out, the blending is poor and they tore me wheel liner when reinstalling it. Not to mention the staff must all be giants in Doc Martins who flail their legs in and out of their cars. The only saving grace is my OptiCoat guy is awesome and will correct their horrible swirling.

That first pictures looks awesome, that must be hell of a good job on the opti coat side. Sorry to read about that SUV trying to eat your car :-(

Yeah and they're supposed to be able to "see out" so well in their giant vehicles

Sorry about your damage. I have a similar line dent right where you have your damage. I always tell myself not to worry, and to think about the future install of a rocket bunny kit :P

Car looks so clean in your first pic. enjoy the build and good luck.

I finally got my car back. The dealer body-shop has been a fiasco. Since the accident it has been painted 3 times and had a handful of parts damaged and replaced. I have been accumulating a bunch of mods in a bucket by my computer. Now I get to finally install them!

- Grimspeed hood struts
- Graphite paint for emblems
- Chromed signal bulbs
- GT86 Emblem
- Flat white side markers
- Front and rear cameras
- Gentex Mirror

I haven't updated in a while, so here's a pictures blast!

I installed a 3rd brake light relocation kit, found here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75887
While I was back there I also installed some sound dampening and silicon spray to get rid of the rear deck popping noises.

Built an amp bracket that bolts to the underside of the rear deck. 14GA 304SS, so it's pretty steady.

I finally got my Tacoma rear-view mirror re-wired and it works amazingly. I think the BlackVue camera mounted right in front of it sometimes messes with the compass. It seems to only happen for the first couple of miles each day, then it's pretty accurate. Sorry, I don't have a shot of the backup camera but it works really well. It and the compass share the LCD screen in the top left. You can also see the UFO brake light deleted from the rear dash.

I removed my rear emblem and tried to paint the others with DupliColor Shadow Chrome kit, made for wheels. It did not turn out well at all. I'm now going to have to remove them and paint them more professionally. I can't really find anyone who has done this by removing them completely, which is what I want to do next time. Masking them off was a huge pain.

Here is the best one. Still meh.

I installed the Mishimoto catch can. I forget that there is very little R&D done on automatics.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=135

Lastly, I got started on my hydraulic lift setup for the suspension. I made a bracket for mounting the pump and the reservoir with the battery tray. I added a silicon mat to eliminate slipping and it fits perfectly.

Even with all the automatic's junk in the way!

The hydraulic cylinders are going to mount on these Ground Control coil-overs. I ordered them with custom springs to accommodate the stroke.

I also have a fire extinguisher that I want to mount to the cup holder area, and four ride height sensors that I have no idea where to mount. Has anyone installed airbags with ride height sensors for our cars? I will try and use the factory locations, but front mounts still elude me.
