Release Series Soon?

I know Scion is going to have one (SOON I hope).

And my better judgement says to wait for it

but I feel myself slipping.

what do you think?

Release series is being kept pretty hush hush, however being the tenth anniversary (silver anniversary) of scion, they have a special silver pearl color that will only be available for the release series of every scion model. There will be a lot of cosmetic differences, specifically on the frs the door sills light up, and where the large "carbon fiber" dash piece is, there will be a light up scion logo that lights upon start up and phases out leaving the "io" meaning 10 for the anniversary number.

Other than that.. I know nothing!

LOL BECAUSE I'M BATMAN

No, but I have connections. I talked to the Scion rep for my region and he let those things slip.. I tried to pry more out of him but no luck. He also said that this years red TC release color will be a standard color on future Tc s. Not that THATS important.

I have no idea when, but I would speculate that they will come out summertime, as most of the release series come out around then. however, being the 10th anniversary special editions for (I assume, from how he was talking) all the models, who knows. Toyota does what Toyota wants!

It honestly just sounds like a bunch of stuff I wouldn't want anyway. I mean aren't most people on here removing their "Scion" parts to make it Toyota?

I would say no, but I have Toyota badges All of my friends/colleagues/sidekicks have kept the Scion badging. The only real reasons I would consider the release series, is (if) The color is too awesome to resist, and because having a 10th anniversary edition of any car is sweet. And collectible down the road!

I bet you can sell those "Limited Edition Scion Parts" for good money in Japan.

That's true. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the appeal and everything but I wouldn't change purchasing one now vs. one later. Sure you can get some flashy cool stuff with the release series but it almost takes that element of customization out of it. I would almost feel guilty doing anything to the car.

As far as the Release Series of tC's go, that's exactly all it is...a way to ask people to pay thousands of additional dollars for practically nothing. The paint job seems to be the biggest part of the RS's, but you can get a custom job for the same price I imagine and really have a special car.
