I think it's just a funky bar graph. About the worst way to do one

canada just started getting the vaccine, so they're going to be way behind for quite a while. national healthcare for the loss, or something.

Someone here is bound to say, "Who cares", but we won't go there. Thanks for asking.

To put it bluntly, we're still sucking the hind teat.

Aside from health care workers, people in longterm care homes and the most vulnerable, we are only starting our 2nd vaccinations for the general public as of tomorrow, June 7. In the Toronto area, the mass clinics will be open to all those 70 and up. I am guessing that it will be 60 up in 1 to 2 weeks and then 50 up and so on. Based on this, and a typical appointment booking for 1-2 weeks ahead, I can expect to get my 2nd by late July. I wish it was sooner. I recently turned 57. My youngest, who is turning 14 next month received his first last week. My brother who is an optometrist, received his 2nd 2 weeks ago.

So, Canada is far behind assuming Ontario is a fair barometer.

Real estate prices and the stock market are at record highs, but there are record numbers of businesses bringing no income to their employees and creating greater and greater liability to their owners.

If it was up to me this would be handled like a martial law type of situation in order to end the pandemic nationally asap, but when we are not manufacturing the vaccines I am really just airing my frustration with this protracted situation we were poorly prepared for. Any major G8 country needs domestic vaccine capability if they wish to maintain their position economically through the recovery process. I'm pissed we're behind the UK and the US. Maybe it's because we're not the "UC". We could change one letter in our anthem from O to U, it would be a cheap renaming. lol

Who knows, the next pandemic could be far, far FAR worse. Makes me somewhat regret opting to leave school while doing a microbio/biochem dual major back in the 80s. Then again I don't know if that's what I'd want to work with before it became a huge matter of national and world safety.

I feel for you and fully align with your frustrations. We're looking at how to deal with the double vaccinated, one of our ex-leaders is keen for an electronic passport allowing people greater freedom of movement.

All you can do is go with the flow, don't let it frustrate, just busy yourself with your toys...

That is cool. Not sure why it's in vacci-nation but cool nonetheless. I wonder if these worms would be viable so long if they were frozen on the surface, as opposed to underground. Radiation might eventually take it's toll.

The worm kinda looks like a miniature version of the astroid/spaceship/space thingy that past our pretty little planet last year.. I think the space thingy dropped its cargo leading to our lockdowns..
