Please don't make a post every time an aftermarket supplier releases something for this car.

I am doing what the admins have asked. Not interested? Unwatch thread and don't reply.

I'm likely to stay with the stock suspension for now. I think the only mods I'm doing for the forseeable future are intake and tune. I want to see what options we get for exhausts

Wouldn’t coilovers replace the active suspension system? Seems like adjustable static suspension might perform better on the track and look better lowered, but active/dynamic suspension would still be preferable. I’m with you that the suspension is best left stock as a daily.

Cool

I agree with that, and it's also a waste of money IMO.

Can't wait for empty posts about other aftermarket modification parts

There appears to be a few units around the dealerships here.

I may have to go check them out. Don't think I can test drive them though, they're sitting in showrooms and possibly sold already.

A fellow Charlotte 86 owner (wrxgoose) just purchased one and took me for a ride in it. This is seriously a fast car; makes my turbocharged BRZ blush. The interior is a bit smaller than our cars. I definitely recommend driving this car before dismissing it as the numbers don't suggest how fast it really is.

Largely because if the dynos are to be believed the claimed 336hp (approx 286wh) and 365tq is far off. With car and driver's dyno showing 339 wheel horsepower and 427 lb-ft and others around the same, that suggests that the actual power output is around 390hp and 427tq. Far from what had been advertised. With this is mind and with the car being 10k cheaper than the base C8 it is still a damn good deal. With that said I will be getting a C8.

They're going low - mid 12's. About on par with a sixth gen Camaro or current mustang. 1/4 mile at least.

For now. But then we'll get her tuned, and intake and exhaust, and make her even faster.

Supras are now for sale and some dealers are asking $20k over msrp up to $100k all in for them. I just can't see anyone actually paying $100k for this.
