I get my first drive Saturday

Lastt night, 24 hours ago, I received a email from Scion, inviting to a first drive event at Knights Stadium, about 20 minutes from me and in SC, 20 miles South of Charlotte NC. I was lucky enough to see the email hit my email, immediately registered. Scion is conducting 16 of these accross the USA, the drive is from 11-6. I responded and was sent an email saying I was registered to drive from 3-4pm . Im not sure if they will have a track or whatever but Im excited to see one much less drive one. I have a friend that is coming and will take pictures which Ill post. One interesting point, the email also said that Scion will continue with the tradition of warranty covered upgrades and all of the sftermarket companies that they have contracts with will be there as well. Im really hoping a turbo is in the mix. I will update on that as well. I spoke to my friend who is the finance manager at Scott Clarks Toyota, as usual, Scion didnt let them know a thing, very poor communication just like the first 86 who had such issues trying to order and FRS from the unknowing dealers. My dealer did service on my 11 TC2, they dont even realize that Scion has a FRS coming,,really?? haha, guess we all will have one of the first in our area seeing Scion doesnt want to tell the dealers they have a new car coming, Anyhow, Ill update Saturday night or Sunday morning. BTW, read the waiver, no reckelss driving,,,uh,,its a sports car right,,I think a slide or two is needed,,Ill be pissed if they load 4 of us in there and drive in circles and waive

I wonder if we're gonna be able to ID him from the reviews...

it's really cool that you got to do all this and the information is really great, it shows that toyota/subaru have big plans for making a culture around this car. i hope they succeed so we can revive the sports car once again.

Both great tranny. If you live in city or always drive in crazy busy traffic on weekday and once a while then AT is best. If you gonna track it more than usual ppl, I'll recommend MT.

They're both great tranny, so it's up to what you planning to do with this car. more DD and less track/autox = AT. less DD and more track/autox = MT.

But that's my opinion

Yes, it's DGM. blue color-ish thing might be just my photo skill. As you can tell, I'm not great photographer. lol But it's really Dark Grey color
