1/1/2013, NSW removes the requirement for ugly registration stickers on light vehicles.

I test fitted some Subaru Forester STI wheels on my car yesterday.
18x7.5 +48 225/45R18 Potenza S04 PP

Looks great, and will clear brembos and other big brake kits.

I have like 2400KM now. i like taking it out into the countryside to let it run free.

2600 KM now, I

I did an oil change on Friday, 0W20 Subaru oil, new toyota crush washer and new toyota/subaru filter.

A funny thing is that i bought the Subaru branded Oil from my toyota dealer, and the Toyota filter was a Subaru filter in a toyota box. haha.

There was some fine metallic particles in my oil, it was like a brown metallic paint.

I feel better knowing it has fresh oil.

Cool rims but the pictures are not doing the car justice. Perhaps it's the angle it's parked but something doesn't quite gel. The wheel gap looks quite large. Once it's lowered a bit I'm sure it will look even better.

it looks great, but i agree the pictures are crappy.
I do plan to lower the car with some net suspension but i am waiting for TRD to release their pillow ball top mounts after TAS2013.
and of course my essex brake kit is yet to be purchased!

I had some Intima SR pads put int he front and flushed the whole brake system with Project Mu fluid, in preparation for my first trackday outing with this car.
i want to run it as close to standard as possible but i know the stock brake pads are useless, so i had to upgrade them.

I will be using stock tyres as well.

nice wheels...i just got the grams in the same color..but 18x8.5 +38...lol got them from JoeBoxer actually..i love the look. For some reason these pics make the gap look larger though..my gaps dont look that big..or so I think anyway..still sick ride!

**Just noticed these are the maximums and not the DRs...maybe that's the difference..hmm who knows.

Went to wakefield Park, I was able to do a 1:14.77 .. a good lap time, and the fastest i have been in my own car around there.
Lots of room for improvement but I only got 1 session of timed laps in.

This is me in the passenger seat letting my mate have a go.

Now i can pull that bloody tape off, it did a good job of protecting against rock chips on my little baby tofu.

Oh and i cant wait to get camber bolts/camber plates/caster adjustment. really needs camber at the front..

Skip to 12:30 for a good lap. 1:14.770

next time i go i know how to use the windscreen demister, so i shouldn't have that trouble.
very distracting not being able to see properly.

That's a pretty good lap time around Wakefield for a stock 86, well done man. Hard to see much in the video but it looked pretty tidy.
