http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...aru-brz-review Wheels, made to be stronger and have lower offsets to clear the new BBK. They're probably very close to the weight of the standard wheels give or take an inconsequential amount. Pricing - See below Brakes - See below Dampers - same Quote:

The rotors are the same size as the STI rotors at 326f/316r, which is larger than our current rotors at 294f/290r. The piston sizes are different than the STI, which I assume is to manage brake bias. Will it be as effective as the $3500 Brembo front BBK? Probably not. Will it be better than our current OEM brakes? Very likely. |

Well one of the main drawback of the brembos in the PP vs aftermarket is that they will probably have a full iron rotors, where as something aftermarket will have an aluminum hat and iron rotor discs. This cuts down on weight but also increases costs.
Also people comparing the PP brakes to the aftermarket, don't forget you are getting front and rear BBK with the PP with a correct front/rear bias. It's a killer deal, not to mention the wheels and dampers that come with it. I actually prefer the new base wheels though, the PP wheels are a little strange where the spokes meet the barrel. |

Anyone know if the specs on these brembo calipers is identical to the new STIs calipers (i.e. piston size, rotor diameter/thickness etc)

Just placed my order today for a white limited today at invoice. Going automatic this time, tired of manual lol. I wonder if this means I'm going to miss out on the PP or not since I thought I saw it was only offered on the manual. |
