In response to my post on Monday and being unproductive as heck, tonight I spent 3 hours from 11PM to 2:30AM trying to get some damn code to work correctly after being miserable over it for the past two days during work hours and outside of work.

Something about working at night can really be motivating. Used to do it like that more in my college days.

I believe the tittle is also a bit misleading. They may be "increasing" production, but it is because the first wave was late and they didn't deliver as many cars as promised. If anything, they're trying to catch up by finally being able to increase their production output.

Before the virtual meeting, my co-worker & I was talking about Miata (how? don't remember). He asked me if I ever owned one. I told him that, I would never own a Miata. His response was "But you're car guy. You should like Miata."

Clearly he didn't know "car guys" are more picky and bias people than typical people lmfao

Chris Harris wrote a piece 10 years ago on why he didn't like the Miata and was torched for it. He says it drives with all the precision of a boneless limb

Asked my local dealership for it, want $60k. Never thought I would be alive where a Corolla cost as much as used Porsche

I don't know what Chris, or any of these self-proclaimed experts, actually understands about suspension design. I would expect that kind of backlash against such an ignorant statement. The miata chassis is immanently tunable. Even if he was writing for the unwashed masses, It was a shitty thing to say coming from someone who should know much better.

Small cars are cool, and the Miata is small.

You know what another cool small car is? The 00-07 MR2 Spyder. So much fucking fun to drive.

Nah. It rolls into the limit, way over. It's designed to do that. Double wishbone, twin A-arm, whatever you want to call it. Out of the box they're almost posh, but with an aggressive camber curve, the wheels still dig hard in the corners. ...because of the roll. That's the point.

Weren’t they? Loved hauling hay. Spending a hot summer day strolling across green meadows, hoisting 90lb bales over your head and tossing them on the wagon. Every third or fourth bale would rain fire ants down on you. Those were the days. Kids these days don’t know what they missed.

The upside was it made the fresh tomatoes we had with lunch taste even better.

But how on earth would you know? I didn’t think Wookies fit in them. I have no clue how a Miata drives. I have never been able to wedge myself behind the wheel to find out.
