Ask him what his office smells like since he clearly pulled that out of his ass.

Hello; Had reason to go to Knoxville TN today. Stopped by a toyota dealer along the way. Talked to the service manager there. He confirmed that any Toyota/Scion dealer should do warranty and other regular work.
He also looked up and printed out the list of TSB's for the FR-S and gave me the copies. With a quick look I saw no specific reference on the list of a TSB about the DI seals. I will take a better look. There was a TSB about rough idle and such and he printed out the entire report. I will go over that soon. |

S-SB-0040-13 There is zero official wording from Toyota or Subaru North America that this has even happened other than to reject or 'good will' warranty claims by those affected. |

I dealt with a few dealers around Kingsport and Bristol when shopping for my FR-S. My suggestion... go elsewhere. They are liars and cheats, there is a reason that car is still sitting on the lot. I would highly recommend looking into some NC or VA dealers, it may be well worth the drive.

I would not pay sticker for a 2013 FRS, you should be able to get a 2013 for close to dealer invoice at this point. I would recommend you find the nearest Subaru dealer and get a quote on a Premium BRZ.

Hello; Thanks to all that posted on my thread. Your comments have been of value. I believe I will pass on the 2013 FR-S as things stand. The dealer is about 200 miles away which is an additional issue that has complicated things.
Finding a dealer closer that will haggle on a 2014 or 2015 seems a next move. |
