Better warm than snowing! The LeMons race missed the ice storm by less than 5 days. A mid December date is risky as well.

My BRZ is getting cabin fever!

Hard to see but there's well over an inch of solid ice out there with more on the way.

We attribute it to the glaze on a Krispy Kreme donut down here. Now I'm hungry for some warm donuts but I'll have to settle for Oreos and milk!

At least you got that milk! Did you get bread before the storm too!? Everyone knows you have to have milk and bread for a snow storm.

I don't know why, but that is what happens up here in TN. Winter storm coming everyone get the milk and bread. They are all that matter!

That reminds me when we went to Barber the weekend after it snowed/iced in Birmingham on Tuesday/Wednesday the Walmart aisles were still cleared out of all the bread and there wasn't any ice left on the roads, haha.

Yeah more snow fell on top of the ice sheet last night. Melting fast now that the sun is out.

On the bright side my Enkei wheels and tires officially have a new owner! @Bg8780 you're gonna love them!

Installed the STI style front lip.

Installed new front rotors and bedded them in with PMU Club Racer pads. Flushed the whole brake system and put in fresh high temp fluid.
The Motive Power Bleeder worked perfectly.

Drained my AOS which had a good amount of oil vapor condensation in there.

Ordered a Flex Fuel kit from @moto-mike that will be here soon.

Very nice. In case you are bored, you can watch my two race videos from Barber this past weekend:

Got down to a 1:47.9 in the race on Sunday.

The incident just after the 1 minute mark in your Saturday race was pretty scary. Certainly a pucker moment for you, but when you made it out unscathed but splattered with mud I think you kept pace really well. Nice decision against using the wipers. That could have made visibility worse.

I love watching raw race footage like that, especially spec series. Makes me want to get into it...almost.

Yeah between the mud and the setting sun in my eyes, I was struggling to find the edge of the track at track out and my braking points when going into the sun.

I would say that being at the pointy end of the field means a larger chance of ending up in a wall as happened on lap 1, but as long as you take the mentality that no pass is worth losing a car over and avoid contact at all costs, you can keep your car clean and enjoy many years of spec series racing. I finished 8th and 9th out of 23 cars.

How long do you think it will be before there's a Spec 86 series in the Southeast?

Well SpecZ (based on 350Z chassis) started up at the beginning of 2013 and they started making them in 2003 and the prices are to the point where you can pick up a nice one for under $10k. So my guess would be 2022, haha. I know a SpecZ is at the top of my list should I decide to build another racecar.
