No no no.... Do it properly. It will not last. The tight clocking is critical to maintain torque on the screw. It WILL come loose again. The timing sprocket MAY frag, taking the rest of the engine with it.

It's fine. There's so much engagement there, it's not going anywhere else. The pictures are deceiving because of the chamfer on the sprocket, but there's a lot of meat but up against that key.

I put it back together with a new crank pulley, bolt, o-ring, and spacer. Crank sprocket and key is still the old one and it’s running fine (for now). Let’s see where this goes. Thanks to everyone for the help. I’ll leave updates as things come up. Here’s a vid after car got warm:
